Intermediate School Districts

When an ISD enters a cohort, training sessions begin with the ISD implementation team before involving districts or schools. The training sessions begin in the fall of the first school year.

Currently, all partnering ISDs are in Year 3 or beyond.​ Please contact MIBLSI if you are looking for Year 1 or 2 ISD implementation team training materials.

Year 3

Systems and Data Reviews

ISD implementation teams in their third year have three data reviews. Teams meet to review their district-level data to determine what supports to provide to their districts.

Local Districts

If the district's ISD entered a cohort, the district implementation team begins its training sessions after it is approached by the ISD implementation team. Districts might be approached during an ISD's first year or at a later time.

Year 1

District Implementation Team (DIT) Installation Series

District implementation teams go through the installation series in their first year. The series helps teams build their capacity to support schools with implementing MTSS.

Coaching Support Sessions for DIT Installation

District leadership identifies an MTSS Coordinator who will learn how to effectively coach their District Implementation Team (DIT). The coach will attend a coaching support session before each of the four DIT installation sessions.

Although it is not required, attendance by the District Liaison is encouraged.

Readiness Training Sessions for Schools

District implementation teams are responsible for presenting readiness training sessions to any school entering its first year.

Data Coordinator Training Sessions

Districts provide data coordinators for their schools. Districts identify individuals and receive training at different times, depending on the district's circumstances. MIBLSI helps districts select the right people and times for data coordinator training.

Coaching Support Sessions

Districts provide coaching support for their schools. Some schools also provide their own coaches. Coaches from district staff and school staff attend the same coaching support sessions, which are listed in the school-level sequences.

After installation, district implementation teams have three data reviews. Teams review their school data to determine what supports to provide to their schools.
