The two-day DIBELS Next Essential Workshop will support users who are new to DIBELS Next, as well as experienced DIBELS users who plan to become Mentors. It covers the foundations and research behind DIBELS, comprehensive and detailed training on how to administer and score all the measures, logistics of administering the assessments, and the use of DIBELS in an outcomes-driven model. This workshop is appropriate for educators who are administering DIBELS Next on paper and pencil or on mobile devices.
DIBELS Next has been approved by the Michigan Department of Education as an initial assessment for the 2017-18 school year, relative to the third grade reading legislation.
*Note: DIBELS Next is now known as Acadience Reading.
This workshop is designed for users who will be administering DIBELS Next and is also valuable for those who will be analyzing DIBELS Next data to plan instruction. It is appropriate for new DIBELS users as well as those who have used DIBELS 6th Edition. The workshop covers the foundations and guidelines of DIBELS, as well as how to administer and score each of the DIBELS Next measures. This workshop is also required for individuals who are interested in later becoming a DIBELS Next Mentor.
